Setting up an Ad-Hoc WiFi Connection with the Dell Axim - page 5 [ 1 2 3 4 5 ]
Once you've verified a successful connection, click OK to minimize the MA701 Config Utility.  Press the Start label to bring up the Start menu, and select the ActiveSync item.  Press the Sync Icon to begin an ActiveSync connection to the computer.

Right click the ActiveSync icon in the computer system tray and open the ActiveSync window.  If you're successful, you should see something akin to the image below.

This is about the simplest example I could come up with for establishing a Wireless connection.  There are numerous options for tuning your specific connections.  If you are in an area where there could be other WiFi systems, you may want to change the "Any" SSID or turn on the wireless encryption protocol in the configuration utility to prevent unwanted wireless eavesdropping.  

In the future, we'll put together a basic walk-through for an Infrastructure or Access Point mode wireless connection and perhaps look at some more interesting WiFi features and applications which utilize them.
