Intel PXA255 is here and it has brought a few buddies.

Intel has officially announced the arrival of the PXA250's replacement, the PXA255. As well as an XScale processor for smaller pda's and processors with built-in StrataFlash.
The PXA255 uses a 200MHz memory bus, twice that of the PXA250 whose performance was severely handicapped by the slow bus speed. Benchmarks show improvements on the order of thirty percent or more over the old chip running at the same clockspeed.
Intel also announced the PXA260 which is about half the size of the PXA255 but runs at the same speeds. It will allow for pda manufacturers to further reduce the size of their form factors or add more functions in the current size of their pda's.
The PXA263 incorporates 32 MB StrataFlash memory directly with the processor which should lead to even less expensive pda offerings.
